Effective date: 29 August 2025
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of DataAnnotationCompanies.com (the “Service”), operated by Data Annotation Companies (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
We use Paddle.com Market Ltd. (“Paddle”) as our Merchant of Record. Paddle provides checkout, collects and remits taxes, issues invoices/receipts, assists with refunds and chargebacks, and offers buyer support. Your card statement may show PADDLE as the vendor. For order help, subscription management, or refunds, please use the Paddle buyer support portal. Your purchases are also subject to the Paddle Checkout Buyer Terms.
These Terms apply to your use of the Service, including any purchases of digital products, subscriptions, or other offerings made via our Paddle-powered checkout.
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a contract. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.
The Service provides an information directory and resources related to data annotation companies and related topics. We may also offer paid digital products (e.g., datasets, templates, guides) and subscriptions (e.g., premium listings, research, tools). We may add, change, or discontinue features at any time.
Prices are shown in the currency indicated at checkout. Any applicable taxes (e.g., VAT/GST/sales tax) are calculated and collected by Paddle where required. Paddle is the seller of record and will issue your order confirmation and invoice/receipt. Promotions or coupons may be time- or quantity-limited.
Some offerings are sold as subscriptions that renew automatically at the interval shown at checkout (e.g., monthly or annually). By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel. You can cancel at any time using the “Manage Subscription” link in your Paddle receipt/confirmation email (buyer portal) or by contacting the Paddle buyer support portal. Cancellation stops future renewals and access typically continues until the end of the current paid term.
Upon purchase, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the purchased digital product or subscription for your internal business or personal use. Unless we expressly permit it in writing, you may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or publicly share our paid content.
You agree not to misuse the Service. Prohibited conduct includes: unlawful activity; attempting to bypass access controls or paywalls; scraping at a rate or in a manner that degrades the Service; infringing or violating others’ rights; and using the Service to build, train, or improve competing datasets or services without our written permission.
The Service may link to or integrate third-party services (including Paddle for payments). Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
All content, trademarks, and logos on the Service are owned by us or our licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that listings or information on the Service are complete, accurate, current, or error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages; for loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill; or for aggregate damages exceeding the amount you paid to us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Courts located in Sydney, NSW shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you may have rights to bring claims in your home jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
